Executive Chairman: O’Diakpo Obire, PhD, is the Executive Chairman of AIS Insurance Brokers Ltd, a trained economist, capitalist, and entrepreneur with over 30 years of experience spanning finance, investment, securities, power and energy, management consulting, and transaction advisory services.

He has led and participated in the development, implementation, and management of high-profile projects, investment portfolios, buy-outs, and acquisitions for multinational and blue-chip organizations, including Shell BP, SNC-Lavalin, Bouygues Offshore, and Lloyd’s, among others. Dr. Obire has served on multiple project management, financial, investment, and transaction advisory teams for multinational corporations across the globe.

Dr. Obire has also provided transaction and investment advisory services to several sub-Saharan African countries, including Namibia, Kenya, Botswana, Ethiopia, and South Africa. In Nigeria, he has consulted for multiple state governments on finance, audit, and the recovery of excess bank charges, and

served as advisor to the Benue State Government on the 500MW Independent Power Plant Project during the administration of Governor George Akume.

Notably, Dr. Obire initiated and recommended the adoption of prepaid electricity metering in Nigeria, which was implemented nationwide in 2003. He currently serves as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of several organizations. He was a gubernatorial candidate in the 2019 Delta State general elections and is a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

He is the current President of Good Leadership Advocacy for Africa (GLAFA), a Pan-African organization, and the Director-General of The Nigerian Thoughts Project.
